Starving for fuel !

I have noticed many posts pertaining to lack of fuel. I am having similar problems. My '86 F150 5.0 automatic with fuel injection is giving me problems on the rear tank. Sometimes it runs ok but then it will act like I am running out of gas. I can switch over to the front tank and it will run fine. I can then switch back to the rear tank and it will perform fine for a while. It seems that steep curves often start the problem. I have taken the truck to my mechanic 2 times. The rear tank has been changed because of "rust" and the 2nd time a filter supposedly in the switch for the tanks was changed. Each time the problem subsided for a week or two but did return. Does anyone know anyway to fix this once and for all.

We are having the same problem with or 94 f250. Ford dealer says hole in back tank, no way. It's on the front tank though that we have problems let me know if you get answer,

The rear fuel pump is fried. I had the same problem in my 95 5.0. It would work every once in a while untill the pump got hot and then it would stop. Fairly easy fix.
