Battery Boo Boo

I recently tried charging my dead battery and stupidly reversed the cables. i blew a couple 7.5 fuses, and took the alternater to be checked and replaced, and also replaced the battery. My battery light is on in the dash and it shows the volt charge is on the bottom line. What else is there to do?

What year is the truck? Perhaps the fuseable link has gone and needs replacement.

Well the 98 had a 30a fuse and the 2002 has 2 fuseable links, so not sure what you have. But that is where I would look next. The regulator is in the alternator so thats not the problem.
