I wanted to do a MAF conversion, but ford didn't have a kit that would work. However, it seems that the lightning kit would, and I do have an E40D tranny.
Am I mistaken, or is this the right kit for the job?
ford part #: M-6066-T51
If this is the right part, then would it be safe to assume other 93-95 lightning engine parts are also compatible?
The kit would work, but you would need to modify the air tubing between the MAF meter and the dual throttle body. The lightning 351 is just a hot rodded version of the regular 351, so several parts will interchange.
You'll again run into the two intake hoses as opposed to the single bore throttle body found on the lightning motor. It has a GT-40 intake manifold. I'm sure the supercharger would work, but I don't know what kind of gains you would see, or what dangers you would run into on a regular 351.
