i own a 67 f100 short bed flareside and i was wondering if it would be legal to put the tail lights in the bed rails. the small round circles. they are about 1.25 inches round, would that be to small. thanks

Legal, not likely. The FVMSS gives a requirement for a minimal square inch area of lights and reflective material viewable from both the rear and sides. Besides being too small it probaby will not be viewable from the sides either.

I would look up the older law before it was revised in 1972 and see what you could do.
