Return fuel filter
The square black box below the battery and between the radiator seems to be leaking fuel out around one of the 2 black ***** on the top on a 93 Ford f150 5.0. Pulled one of them off and it looks like gasoline return fuel filter. Anyone have this trouble? Do you have to get a new one or is there a way to seal it up?

Thats the charcoal canister , You shouldnt have any fuel leakage from it at all . It stores fuel vapors & those vaoprs are reintroduced to the intake . Follow its hoses to the intake & you should find a purge solenoid that cycles on & off letting the vapors enter the intake . The purging usually takes place at operating temp & off idle . Check to make sure all the charcoal cans hoses are secure & that the purge solenoids electrical connection is secure .

Thanks Paul for your answer. I have been checking it off and on and there has been no more fuel in it. I checked the hoses and the selinoid connection all seem to be tight. What kind of malfunction did I have to fill it up in the first place? Anything that I need to do to make sure it doesn't do it again? One of the hoses runs back to the fuel tank, I thought it was some kind of return system.
