not getting 3rd gear
I have a 1978 ford f-100 which had a 302 and c4 combo in it. Replaced motor for 351w and promptly dhelled c4. Went back with what I assume is a c6 as it was the transmission which came with 351 which came out of 85 ford econoline. After swap I no longer get 3rd gear or drive which ever way you want to call it. Changed modulator valve and replaced filter to no avail. Could there be another problem other than bands being bad as this tranny was good when I pulled the engine and we replaced the tranny within a week of engine swap. All help appreciated.
