Just starting a 51 F100 project, previous owner was deep into it and got that dreaded "lack of interest" disease.
Here's what I'm starting with...
Boxed frame, Mustang II front, narrowed Currie 9 inch, monoleafs moved to underneath the frame rails, shaved door handles and hinges, new floor and firewall, new bed with tubs, new tailgate, all 4 Fairlane glass fenders, gravel pan and running boards, Griffin radiator, wire harness, door popper stuff. Bodywork on cab is mostly done and everything is primed.
I have a low miles 289 and C4 ready to go in. As soon as I ge the motor mounts welded in I'll remove the cab and start detailing and painting the chassis.
They threw away a lot of parts they shouldn't have, I'll be looking for parts soon. A BUNCH OF PARTS.
Welcome aboard! You've found the best group of folks to hang out with as far as the older Ford trucks are concerned. Set up your gallery and let us see what you got to start with. It sounds like you are starting out where most of us are after five or ten years.

Been there several times myself, That's what happens when you go into a restoration blindly without a plan and a timeline to get it to where you want it. My 51 my not be show and shine quality, but It's driveable and I'm having a blast just crusiing around town in it crash box 4 speed and all. Sure wish I had some of those cars and trucks I let slip through my fingers many years ago. Welcome to the forum, your 51 looks nice

Thanks for the welcome, many questions are soon to come. In the meantime I'm going over the forums reading the other posts, so maybe I won't ask questions that were already answered.
