86 Clutch Problems
I have an 86 F-150 with standard transmission. The motor is a fresh rebuild and the clutch is new. My problem lies in the master cylinder for the clutch. The firewall behind the master cylinder flexes too much when you press the clutch pedal. This causes the clutch to not fully disengage from the transmission. I have heard from a few mechanics that there is a kit (somewhere) made to reinforce the firewall behind the master cylinder. If anyone knows how to get a kit like this, or another solution, please reply to this message or mail me at basnov1(No Email Addresses In Posts!)

There are several posts on this subject. Use the search engine to locate the past posts. Ford has a kit for this and one of the previous post displays the part number on it. Hope this is some help. Good luck.
