I actually like the look of the dodges more than the fords of that era. The cummins will give you alot better milage than the 7.3. I have a 89 7.3 with an auto tranny and a buddy has a 93 dodge D250 4x4 with the cummins and a 5 speed. It will almost out run my truck and i have the advantage of the auto. I think the dodge is a much better truck in that era. And when the came out with the new generation in 94 that truck would flat out run over a ford untill they got the powerstroke. Even then it is still a good running truck. All this coming from a guy who has never owned a dodge and owns 2 fords. Who woulda thought?? LOL

 

Id give my left , well nevermind, for a clean first gen. Dont see to many round these parts. There were not a lot of them made.

I seen one for sale a while back. Had 450k miles on it and the turbo was leaking oil pretty badly. It had been used for farm work and I didnt think it would get me 50 miles at a time reliably.

 

the one i am looking at is my buddies and he doesnt drive it so i have awhile to think about it but it is the cleanest 1st gen i have ever seen, i wouldnt be looking at it otherwise.
