Which rear end do I have?

Which rear end do I have?

I have a 2000 5.4 EB 4x4, with what seams to be the factory tow package. (How can I tell for sure?)

I have looked all through the owner's manuel and on the truck I have only found that the rear end is a "H9".

Can someone tell me in english which rear end I have?

How much can I there fore tow with out hurting the truck too much?

The "H" indicates that your truck has a limited slip differential. The second digit is the code for the axle ratio. If I recall correctly, "9" is the code for 3.55 to 1 ratio.

Thanks... I found out that that I have the 3.55 from another site but I didnt know what the "H" meant the slip diff.

I also saw that I could tow 7900 Lbs.
