I am making a very quick run back to Oklahoma on I-40 and when I get just in OK coming out of Arkansas what do I see but a brand new Police vehicle. It was a Dodge Magnum, this thing had about a thousand lights on it and thankfully it already had someone pulled over. I do have to say that for a cop car it was awesome. Just thought I would share that there is a new set of lights to look for on the highway.
My last discovery was cops now use small light bars under the roof line in the top of the windshield. The stobes pan accross the top of the windshield to give the look of a light bar, sneaky.
we've got one ghost car here thats pretty sneaky if you're not lookin for it. All it has for lights is two inside the grille, plus the headlights. But locals can pick it out cuz it has some kind of swirl stripe on the back. It's a XLT Expedition. Should have been an XL Explorer, but they screwed up ordering it.
on the interstates here the state troopers have a couple of firebirds with the light bars just below the roofline. in my neck of the woods they use whatever is in decent shape that is impounded in drug raids, for some undercover cars. i could be mistaken about the drug raids being where they get them from but i think i heard someone mention it and it makes good sense.

Sure they did. If it wan't so obvious, they would have fudged and ordered the Explosion (Excursion) instead....but those don't roll off the assembly line anymore, IIRC.
I was in Arkansas a number of years ago and saw their highway patrol had at least one Corvette, presumeably to be used as an interstate chase car. I am not positive of the exact vintage, but it looked to be of the 60's era.
It was cool.
It was painted and lit as an obvious police vehicle.

Reason: more to add
The big thing around here are plain cars, they have explorers, crown vics, tarus's, nova's, and some other cars. They usually have tinted windows and hidden lights and a few of the crown vics in my city have aftermarket wheels. Very sneaky. County Sherif's have a couple Excursions but they are marked.
