Engine Performace
Hey, I have a 460 EFI in a 1995 F250, and I want to get some more horsepower out of it, but I'm not sure what cam to get that would give good power but maintain a daily driver status. I can stand a small rough idle, and I like the sound. I've put a K&N air intake system, and once I get some more money, I intend to get a BBK throttle body and headers. If you have any suggestions as to another throttle body or some type of headers it would be appreciated. The transmission is an E4OD.

I have a set of L&L headers on my 460 and they are very nice headers. I think BBK is the only company that makes a bigger throttle body. Comp cams makes a cam for the efi 460's, might give that a try. Hope this helps.

thanks for the info, i had one other question, and thats what about lifters, what kind should i use for it, and will the cam mess with the computer for the engine. also i have heard about some air restrictor in the tubes from the filter, which i have replaced to the throttle body, is this true?

The restrictors in the air tube were mostly for noise reduction I think. my 460 never had them, I would think that to get the maximum benifit from the cam a custom chip would be needed to tell the computer what to do to take advantage of the upgrade.
