ebpv
then stuck a piece of duct tape to cover the opening where the red tube was connected to wastegate solenoid my question is why does my wastgate still cycle when it is cold out and engine is cold (stops when engine warms up)
by disconnecting the red tube isnt that supposed to prevent that valve from cling
or am i getting the wastegate mixed up with somthing else ?
The ebpv is what you notice turning on and off in the morning. I guess you could disconnect it if you wanted. It is a two wire plug at the bottom of the turbo. It has a wire clip to hold it on. I don't know if that will throw a code or something.
BTW why do people unhook the ebpv? Doesn't it do more good then bad?
for me i just dont like the noise of the valve opening and closing while driving with a cold engine with a striaght piped exhaust
it shouldnt hurt anything aslong as the valve stays open .
