Live chat isn't a very well used feature here but sometimes you'll find people there.
User reputation is the scale icon in the top right corner of a post. You can see what someone's reputation is by hovering your mouse over the little green box near the top right corner of a post. Some of what it says there is a bit strange sounding ....apparently in England where the software is made it would make sense
"Muffinman is on a distinguished road".
If you feel that someone was very helpful or did a good job with a post you can add to their reputation. Users can see how many reputation points they have by clicking on User CP near the top of the page. I think everyone starts with 10 points. It really doesn't mean all that much but it's a kinda fun thing and can show people that you appreciate them. Some users would rather just have a simple thank you but others like the reputation points.
