Cold start noise

When I cold start my 99 F350 7.3, I get this wooshing noise, sounds kind of like a garden spray hose. It goes away as soon as it warms up.

Any ideas of what it could be? Thanks

Do a search for Exhaust Back Pressure Valve or EBPV. Zillions of posts on this matter.

When the air gap between the A/C clutch hub and pulley has closed up it will make a whoosing noise, but usually all of the time. Engage the A/C and see if it goes away. If not, like Kwik said, probably the EBPV.

Thanks guys, I had read about the EBPV, but wasn't quite sure if this was the same bugger!
