I had a guy tell me at the Ford dealership that an automatic trans from a 1986 mustang would bolt up. I would like a floor shift. I currently have that borg warner manual with the 1st gear so high it could crawl up the side of a telephone pole. Ideas??

Shouldn't be hard to bolt up. Might have to modify the cross member a bit, and add a trans. fluid cooler. Using an aftermarket floor shifter should make the linkage a snap. Only other things would be to run a kickdown cable, and any drive shaft mods that come up.
