With spring here i fired up the Ol' beater and washed the radiator off...then the truck stopped and would start back up figured i would let the Dist. dry out or what ever casue this is not something that happens...turns out the my off road water proof MSD box was the cause the bottom plate seperated and it got fried... any one else heard of something like this ... i tried taking back to Summit but they said that is was becasue i used it for mudding .... ain't that off roading ?? any one else every had something like this happen ??
Thats a new one on me. Is it still under warrenty? MSD has been real good to me in the past. You should call them up, if its under warrenty still they should send you a new one for free...otherwise they'll repair it for pretty cheap.
I fried a regular MSD box by submerging it but the Offroad box should be able to operate under water. The entire thing is filled with epoxy so there's no way for moisture to get to the board unless there's a hole or bubble in the epoxy. This being the case it's their fault. I'll second Pro's comment. MSD has always been VERY good to me. Contact their customer service department and tell them what happened. IF things don't work out with them shoot me an e-mail and I'll let you in on a sneaky little trick that worked for me last time I blasted my 6AL.
Thanks fella's for all the help soon as wok slows up a bit i will have time to work out this problem and hope to be back in the woods ASAP until then i am forced to watch drunk donny tear up his poor bronco...
