I picked up an '03 F350 recently. Nice! Now I'm curious if there is a way to turn off the warning alarm that sounds off when the key is in the ignition, and the driver door is open. It's quite annoying. I would rather fall out of a moving vehicle than have to hear it.

Alright! I found the posts in the search archives. It's not a clean software mod. It requires a physical mod. Taping a contact, or (god forbid) cutting a wire.
Thanks! Yeah, I picked up the exact truck I wanted (manual tranny) on the first used truck I saw. And it looked like it had never been driven. My old f250 just could pull the trailer without overheating.

Just cut the wire its easy. I had to do it for my sanity. Evrything else will work there's really no negative's. Snip and no more noise. Its the same wire that you'll be taping behind the sw.
The only thing, don't think the snip or taping of the wire will stop the infernal dinging when you try to listen to the radio with the key in the accessory position and the door open, I still haven't figured out how to do that. Drives me crazy if I'm out working near the truck and want to listen to the radio without the bell.
