Well did my 1st tune up on my 98 explorer spt.oil,filter,belt,plugs,pl. wires, fuel filter,The only thing I couldn't change was the pcv valve, My question is where the hek is it to begin with looked all around wasn't able to locate it!
its near the rear top of the engine by the firewall. access it from the passenger side. the bottom of the pcv sits in rubber tubing and the top of the pcv splits off to two smaller tubes leading to the valve covers. sometimes it helps if you remove that black shroud that says "4.0", but its not absolutely necessary.
You know I had that one in my hand yesterday but wasn't sure because it had a y split at top,& it was held in place by a plastic clamp. I started to pull on it but wasn't sure because the on the auto parts sold me didn't have the y split, it had like an f split one was small & one little larger , the auto part guy told it had a blocker because they sometimes use both & some don't!
I pulled mine and broke the clip. I got the T conector off, but could not get the PVC out of the hose. Well I quite. If I could get it out of the hose, how do you get the new one in???? There is no room to work back there
