I am wanting to remove the glass from the frame of the wing window, looks like it's held in by glue. Anyone that knows how to get the glass out from the from please reply. Thanks

Hey there,
Funny, I just came in from the garage and was doing the same thing. I used screwdrivers and plastic hammer, I drove the screw driver down between the edge of the glass and the frame.I kept working it at both ends, took me about an hour to do just one of them. I wore gloves and a face shield just in case. Be patient and it will come out.
Good luck
James

I'm not sure yet, I've got about 4 projects going at once, my mufflers won't be here till Mon. so had to stop on that, got my brakes done, but need to wait till I can get another hand on bleeding them, and just started to tear some old doors apart to see what I could use off them for my restomod truck. Unfortunately , looks like I can't use much of anything, pretty rough shape, I can see that I'll have $1000+ in my door internals and weatherstripping
Sorry
James

Glass companies use the black urethane.

If all you need is a single bead,I would go to a windshield place & give a buck or do to glue it in, unless of course you need a whole cartridge of it

Million I'm going to have to call you on this one.
This wing vent (wind vent) is held in by a thin rubber gasket. It is very much the same characteristics as inner tubes do except thicker.

Anyway the window can be removed by brute force (pulling by hand) with some heat applied from a hand held heat gun. DO NOT pry on it with a screw driver. The rubber gasket that holds the window in is hard now, so it does help to heat it up some. Just don't get carried away with the heat and explode the glass because it is tempered and excess heat can cause it to break. After you do get the glass out, clean out the channel it was in.

Reinstallation should be done by using an original type strip of rubber. After saturating it with silicone spray like glass shops use, wrap the rubber around the edge of the glass and press into the window frame. Be sure to fully seat it and then cut off the excess rubber.

I suppose you could use the urethane sealer, but that is not the proper way to do it. I discourage doing it that way.
