I just read it...7-11 YEARS later (depending on which time stamp you go by). Whenever a noob asks a question it's alway "Do a SEARCH". Well, yeah...but just because a thread is old doesn't mean it can't be useful.

So cute when old couples argue the minutiae in a thread. It really bridges the gap between informative and entertaining.

Still Relevant information,

I bought a 75 Highboy and was thinking of swapping out the 390HP build and swapping in a built 460. Staying with my 390 and adding a few goodies. Besides I get 8 to 10mpg and my buddies 78 with a built 460 get 5mph. Both of us have to run premium at 4.00 a gallon ouch!

Where are you living that gas is so expensive? I remember when I was serving in the Army in Germany during the late 80s gas was like 2.00 US a quart. Good thing we had petrol vouchers.

yes... Berlin in Germany.

it's a joy to drive a 460cui engine here. thinking of reducing the compression a little bit and put in Jägermeister.

Well that would explain the gas prices. I lived in Schweinfurt a few years. I long to travel back and visit. It was hard then to be able to travel to Berlin they usually would not let us. If you need parts for that old engine let me know and I will look around to see if I can find it. The engine is very common here but shipping to you might get expensive, but it can be done. Take care!

Get me the dimensions you need and I will take a look around lots of Ford trucks here. I am pretty sure I can find them pretty cheap. Might hit the junkyard too. I will look for type 7.

Mirror.

If you look at the pic I just posted of mine you will see that you have the bolts below to mount the type of mirror I have. They are very easy to find.
