Kinda sounds like Bob LowthFord in Bemidji. I got stuck there once and they tried a second time only I caught them thanks to MandM Ford in New Hampshire.Saved over $1000 by contacting them. The truck was under warranty and Lowth said it wasn`t so you know what was going on there.
The only ford dealership I actually like getting service done is at Moll Ford, Mills in Baxter is crappy they want 16 bucks just for a fuel filter, when Champion sells a motorcraft filter for $5!
Hi all,Im in Cushing,30 miles or so from Brainerd,I've got an 88 F250 4x4 with a 351.
Im new to the area so meeting people would be great!
Later,
Russell
Hi Russell- This is the third time I`ve tried this. Keep screwing it up by going back to your post. I live in Bemidji and travel down that way to go to the vets. hosp. in St.Cloud and to my home town Long Prairie. Almost bought a place down there on highway 10 next to the pheasant farm. Unfortunatly it didn`t work out. I drive a 99 250 SD v10 reg cab and a 97 Chev Lumina. Needless to say I drive the Chev now that the gas has gone so high. Nice to see you here on this thread. I`m new here also. Maybe someday we can say hello over a cup of java or something better. Take care-Bill
Nice to hear from someone!
Nice vehicles,we have a 93 Cougar and a 86 E350 bus also but the others arnt licenced right now, just my truck,Im getting the Cougar out soon when we can get tab's for it.
We moved to Cushing last June and we were a little dissapointed that we didnt get a welcoming visit from anyone in our small neighborhood lol?
We do live in a remote area though and I guess they keep to themself's.
I've been trying to get better milage with my truck but keep haveing problems,Im putting Header gaskets on now since I had bad leaks,it came with Flow Tech headers that were put together by complete idiots I guess,They put two manifold gaskets on one side and none on the other side lol and no doughnut gaskets so I was guessing about those.
Man,with my back trouble's Im haveing a hard time,Ive got it all back together pretty much except for the Doughnut gaskets so far.
I got the copper manifold gaskets so I wont have to do it again anytime soon lol,I wasnt sure if the header flanges used the doughnut gaskets so I put it together without them but quickly found out there needed for sure so thats tomorrows project lol!
Well I guess I better get to bed,Im so sore I cant hardly move!
Nice talking to you,
Russell
Don't worry about those idle adjustment screws. I picked some up down here.
Not to many people willing to work on those vintage bikes around here. The closest I could find was 3 hours away in North Carolina.
After watching all the bikes ride by, I got sick of starring out the window at them & went out and fixed er up myself in just a couple hours. (I can do things like that when it is warm out).
Gonna give you credit, you did one hell of a job building those carbs. It runs a hell of lot better. The best it has ran in the past couple years.
The weather couldn't be better (trying to rub it in). Great riding weather as well.
Great now someone here knows me. He has worked on my bike & seen my Peterbilt. I guess I better start behaving myself...................
