Ford390,
Are you sure about having the 4R100 tranny in your 2003 Expy? Because if you do Ford, at least in 2002 MY, used Mercon/DexronIII in that tranny. They specifically warned not to use MerconV in the 4R100 tranny. I'd double check to see what tranny you have and check your owner's manual for tranny fluid requirements.

Ford 390, you might want to go directly to Royal Purple's website, and get a direct answer to your question from RP's Technicians. In the past, I have asked questions, and have received very through and prompt answers back within 1-3 days. This was over a year ago, but I appreciated Royal Purple being responsive to us, their customers / enthuiasts. In my e-mail question, I had also included my home address to Royal Purple along with my e-mail address. They answered my question(s) via e-mail as I have stated above. Then about 2 1/2 weeks later in the mail, I received a fat white 10X13 mailer, full of all RP products, descriptions, and testimonials (copies) from other satisfied users. I know Royal Purple makes excellent, state of the art, racing oils, used in all types of racing, especially Championship Drag Racing. If you ever heard a Mountain Motor Race HEMI, open headers, revving at 9100+ rpm, thunder echoing across the night sky, drinking in massive amounts of 112 octane gasoline, sucking cool, crisp, night air through giant twin 4 BBl carbs, if you are like me, you appreciate and respect the oil flowing through that race engine, costing more than the down payment on your house. Chances are, it's running Royal Purple's Race oil. RP, great company Ed
