Question Suggestions?

I wondered if anyone here had an idea to improve the FTE "scene" on an international scale.
While Ford originated in the US, Ford has many factories assembling cars around the world, and sells vehicles in pretty much every country.

What can be done to get more international users to visit the site?
And what can be done to keep the ones that do visit.

I think there is a great possibility for FTE, and MotorHaven to expand on a global scale, as many of the users in other countries don't recieve the support from our dealer networks that the US/Canada receive.
I know of many people that have had to wait 2-3months for parts to get shipped in, and the service people at the dealership don't usually know a whole lot about the vehicles they are working on, purely because they don't see the quantity of F-Series, Rangers, Explorers etc. that the guys in the US see.

FTE is a fantastic technical resource to enable people to find out what is wrong with their vehicle, and potentially order parts through MotorHaven.

The main reason I am asking for suggestions is that few international people appear to visiting the site - and if they are, they aren't visiting this chapter!!!
I understand this chapter can't work like other chapters due to logistical difficulties, BUT it would be nice to see more international people around.

I have asked all the people I know with Ford trucks to join, but they find it far easier to ask me their technical/Ford related questions when I am down at the pub with them, and if I don't know, I ask on here on behalf of them. And few of them are very technically savvy (computer, huh? kind of stuff)...

Any ideas at all?
I am fresh out.

Thanks,

Contact the administators to get their permission to have FTE added to the links page of your local favorite sites. That's how so many people, myself included, came to find FTE. This would give all international folks the opportunity to see what goes on here and how valuable the link could be to them.

Well on buying parts in the US online , "paypal" is about the easiest form of payment to use, and shipping and customs are really the biggest issue that you will have to deal with. Maybe try doing group club buy's to help cut down on shipping charges.

On spearding the word about FTE
One thing to do is to print up a flyer about FTE, and you could use the one Dennis(mil1ion) made up for us to use, but hand them out personally for a better response That might help in spreading the word, also include your user name and where to look for you on this board would be helpful.

These are just a couple of things that come to mind, I hope this helps

And mil1ion should be able give you a link to the flyer.

Sounds good.
I was looking into getting a credit card anyway (have been avoiding having one like the plague).
So looks like I should soon be able to join Club FTE...

heres a suggestion if your leary of credit cards, go to your bank and get a pre-paid credit card,no one can tell the differance, it gives you a level of protection by having its limit set by the amount that you put on it, that way if your card number is hacked they can only get the money you have avaible. I use them for my online transactions and transfer funds to it as needed.

Plus you get all the protections that a credit card offers and earn interest on your money.

Same, I was having trouble with my F-Series, and wanted to do some research, and after following a few links, here I am.
I was talking to a guy here the other day who is building a diesel drag truck (the only one in Australia), and told him to have a look.

Most vehicles here are just work vehicles, not as many people passionate about their F-truck.
