Maybe a silly question... Does ABS come standard onthese trucks? An ABS light comes on when I'm starting my truck but if I do have it, it doesn't work. What should I look for?
I think I blew my drivers side4x4 hub too. Turn too sharply into my driveway over a bump and heard a "PING". Hasn't worked since. Should be fun to fix...
According to The Ranger Station, Ford made 4wheel ABS an option for 4x4 models where previously, it had been standard. At minimum, you've got RWABS (rear only). The way to check is to look to see how many lines you've got coming out of the reservoir. If you've got 5 lines, then 4 wheel ABS; 3 lines is RWABS only. If you're still unsure, call your insurance agent. They can tell by the VIN number what type of ABS your vehicle has. Here's a link to Ranger Station-lots of good information on history, etc.

There are no silly questions. If you want to know, just ask. You are among friends.
