Hey guys. I just joined the site. Anyway, my truck (2000 F-250 XLT) needs some small things taken care of, however I do not know how to go about them. The first thing is the cupholder. I removed the two screws from the front, but the holder will not come out of the dash. Is there something else holding it in? Also, how do I change one of the dash bulbs? The last question is about the AC vents. 3 out of 4 across the dash are broken!!! How do I remove them and put new ones in? Thanks for the help!!!!
I have a 2000 F250 also and my cup holders just pop out with a good sharp tug. Don't have to take any screws out of mine. I find them harder to line up to slide back in than to take out.
There are 4 screws holding in the cupholder. Two front side and two underneath. After you remove the radio the dash will come out, inspect the backside of the vents. You may be able to remove them by pressing them out.
I would guess my first question is, which cup holder ?
I've got about 10 in my excursion
and Heavy's suggestion is good about the vents...
presuming you mean the vent itself is broken and not that air is not coming out of them....
go into your local Ford dealers parts house and buy you one of the vents and while there look at their parts blowup to see how they pop in and out...
would venture to guess it is tabs that clip onto dash/vent tube after being pushed in...
