Front Drive Axle

I have a 95' F150 4x4 with manual locking hubs. While greasing the wheel bearings I noticed that the right side axle shaft rubs on the axle arm assembly as the axle enters the assembly. I have never noticed a problem with this while in four wheel drive, but it has apparently been happening for some time as a groove has developed on the axle shaft. How has this happened and what is the fix?

Do you mean where the axle goes thru the spindle ?
