questions about heads

hello all i am new to the site and what not and have a few questions about some heads i have. these heads where given to me abouta years ago by a friend who owed me some money. he said there are heads off a 351m for a 78 f 150 he had. i ahve a f250 with a 351 also he had them rebuilt,anhow the casting number are non that i know. they say D1AE in them and thats all i can make out. i was always told that 351-400 heads wher d5XX or better. any body have a clue what they are for????? thank you all i have tried the search button and had no luck. if they are the same i will use them when i rebuild the motor.

I think those would be Cleaveland heads. Someone will confirm. Better than 351m heads and interchangeable.

thank you sir i hope some body knows if these will work if not i got Jipped 150 bucks. i would liek to use them since they are very good looking.

if you have a 351m and they are 2v heads they will bolt right on, you didn't specify which 351, or what year your truck is so I will assume you do have the 351m, and they would be better heads becuase the exhaust should flow better due to not having the thermactor bump like the latter smog heads

i dunno if they are 2 v head will have to look harder. i have a 77 f250 with a 351m/ 400
i dont know which one never had heads off to measure the stroke. i only had the pan off once and was in a hurry to get it back on.my truck never had smog on it it was built in san jose with out califorina emmissions(SP) didnt have ac either. i am going to rebuild the engine and figured i will use these heads know that i know they will work. i use the truck for heavy tows and playing in the mudd i try not to take it above 5k. thank you sir for all your information you have given me
