i have 2 fenders i need to patch like so many of us have to. i already have it off the vehicle. where should i start. i have acces to a sandblaster and a mig weldder as well as a friend who owns a mechanic shop so tool arent to hard to find thank you
If it's the right front fender I see in your gallery, I think I would look for a replacement. Some of those creases can be tough to straighten if you don't have years of body experience.
Go to the main menu, then to the Bodywork section. The first post there is about panel replacment, it includes pictures. I could rehash it but that post is about the best I have seen. Hope that helps, clean metal is the key.
Just spent a couple hours looking through the body work forum. There is a lot of good info there. I almost never leave our little home here (48-60 forum), so I guess I should start getting out more.
I'm in this planning stage of bodywork also, and will have to study the bodywork forum more closely also. I need to add about 3" to the runningboard edge of all 4 fenders but I'm still waiting for warmer weather so I can epoxy prime after i'm satisfiied with the results.
Later....Randy

The May issue of Classic Trucks has a good article on F1 rust repair. They list a vendor for repair panels, I haven't had a chance to read the whole article yet myself.
