Engine Dieing Out.

My 78 Ford With 302 Has Been Turning Over But When I Let It Just Sit There And Run It Sometimes Runs Down And Dies Like Its Not Getting Fuel Or Something. I Wonder Because Of The Hard Winter We Had And
Me Not Running It Alot I Might Got Water In The Tank. Think If I Dump 10 Gallons A Fresh Gas And Some Heet Into The Tank Will Help Clean It Out? I Have All New Wires And Plugs. New 1000 Amp/880 Cca Battery Along With A New Starter And Alternator And Coil. What Do You Think?

May want to replace fuel filter too.

Hi, you might try some carb cleaner in it also ,carb might be gumed up from setting with old gas in it , give it a shot wouldn't hurt, Slim

Take a look at the choke action. While it's sitting it should stay on a fast idle and actually increase if you don't touch it but the choke itself should slowly open.
