Cold natured skip!!
Got a 1980 f100 inline 6-300,idles great during normal weather, when it gets cold and damp it idles very rough and wants to cut off. Thanks for any suggestions.

I have an 81 F-100 with the inline 6 that had the same kind of problem. What I found was that the choke did not close, thereby not allowing the fast idle cam to drop. I pulled the choke housing off and doused it real good inside the housing with carb cleaner. That got the choke to working, but the linkage still had a little bind because it hadn't moved in umpteen years. I sprayed it down real good with some liquid wrench, and now I have no problems with fast idle, she starts right up and runs like a top.
If that dont do it for ya, replace the dist cap and rotor. You may have some moisture building up in there.
