Stanadyne DB-2's

I've been looking around lately and I find a lot of Chevy pumps that are cheap and in good working order. Are these in any way interchangeable with the Fords? I'm not talking straight bolt on, but maybe all you have to change is the front mounting housing or something.

I know it's the cheap way out, but when they are next to free, sometimes it works even if it takes a little elbow grease.

Thanks.

not neccesserily. chevy diesels were built GM and are pretty worthless as a wholle. Internatonal completely built their 6.9s in house and crate shipped them to ford to be installed in the f-series 3/4 and 1-ton trucks. I would check with either International about the pumps or with a reputable fuel injection shop that services diesels too. a popular swap i have seen is taking the pump off an old international school bus cause the diesel engine in those buses was the 6.9 but the injection pump has more power on it. Im old fashioned and will stick with factory parts for increased reliablilty and proper fit.
