Where is the location of the fuel filter on the 03 F150. I just bought my truck and will be replacing it for the first time(for this vechile). Are there any special consideration that I should be aware of. Thanks for the help!
On the newer f-150's its usually in the drivers side frame rail beside the transmission. Just follow the fuel line inside the frame rail. It will be in there somewhere covered by a bracket or gaurd. Any filter from your autozone or shop will do. Good Luck!
I just replaced mine 15 minutes ago. Use the plastic removal tool, the metal scissor type doesn't work well at all.
Mine was located on the drivers side of the truck. If you slide under the drivers door of the truck and look on the inside of the frame rail, you should be pretty close.
The hardest part for me was getting the old filter out of the metal clip that secures the filter to the frame rail.
Ted98, where did you get the plastic tool. I was going to replace mine but realized before i started that i didnt have the tool. Did you relieve the presure from the fuel rail? I have done before but not on my truck.
Thanks for the help
