Lightbulb Alternate Jack Stowage

Just a short note for some of you who are looking for a convenient place to stow your factory jack due to adding an amp or subwoofer under your rear seat. This would apply to those with captains chair upfront mostly.

In preparation for the system going in next week, I was nosing around the truck and was trying to get the jack under the passenger seat but it would not go under all the way. I split the jack from the crank/lug wrench (they are strapped together from the factory) and was able to then fit the jack easily in the console between the captains chairs. I don't have a lot of stuff in there, but it doesn't roll around either. The crank is too long for the console so I was able to lay that angled underneath the passenger seat without issue.

Unless there are other ideas I don't yet know about this might be an option for some of you with a similar issue.

How do you store it with the spare tire? Is there a way to secure it to the tire? I have the factory Audiophile system with sub and I could use the space where the jack is to store some straps and other items that I had stored behind the seat in my 03 SCREW, so if that works, that would be great for me.

2005 FX4 SCREW.

Thanks.

I put mine in my toolbox (mounted in the bed). But, another forum user (Dupuis) relocated his inside the engine compartment. It may only work for NON 4x4 owners.
