What size engine?
I found this 91 Ranger for sale along side the road the other night. So I stop to get out a look at it. The truck is a 4x4 supercab is good condition, no rust that I could find. I was wondering what size engine this truck would most likely have in it, 2.9, 3.0 or 4.0? I think it was a five speed.

Get the VIN from the windshield, then use the secret VIN decoder ring found somewhere on this site. The as-sold engine will be one of the characters in the VIN, but I don't memorize this kind of information, so I can't say which one.

I am planning on going tonight and taking a closer look at it and possibly a test drive. If it all checks out fine and if the price is right I might buy so I can retire my '86 2wd Ranger for a while (I plan to put a 302 in and make it four wheel drive someday).
