Om edit: mine is also squished.....darn I wish we had a test thread so we could get our avatars working and lloking good without filling up these topics here, I'll have to find an old abandoned thread to test on I guess
Hi, If you click on the preview button instead of the post message button, you can view your post without posting it. Then if all looks good, click the post message button to post it. Hope this helps.

You can copy and past the image source from properties after right clicking on them, and still have "emotion icons" set to stay out of your message.
It comes out like this:
