Drive Train Noise 98 Explorer
98 Explorer 5.0L AWD has a noise from left front axle when driving above 50 mph and applying a load such as going up a hill. The noise disappears when no load or going down a hill. Can not tell if it is a u-joint on the drive shaft or from the front axle itself. Does anyone know how to diagnois this type of sound. Can it be the bearings on the wheel? Also any help in changing these parts would be great.
