Gee, I wish I knew someone with a 76 super....... Oh Wait! 
It's possible it has a 351. Also a 360 or 390, 460, or 302. Assuming it's a V8. It could also be a 300 I6 but that should be pretty easy to tell apart. Look at the intake manifold. If it extends under the valve cover its a 360 or 390.
You could go down to the 73-79 forum and do a search on engine id's.

I used to have a 76 super cab, 390. Pretty good truck. I liked the old jump seats in back. It was nice to be able to stretch out your legs instead of having them crammed up against the seat back like in todays supercabs. Also had a board retro fitted to rest on top of the jump seats when not in use across the back to use as a shelf, or bed as it had a foam pad on it as well. Sorry I'm not more help to you though.
