Greetings all,

I have a long winded question here. On the 302 efi out of a 86 F150, theres a tube that connects the heads in the rear of the motor. On top of that tube in the middle theres an emissions valve of some sort with an opening on the top for the connection to the hard tubing that crosses the manifold to the air pump. On my truck theres a junction just after the connection from that valve with another valve. This valve has three openings. One goes to the hard tube, the other goes to the valve that sits on the tubing connecting the heads and the other goes into outer space. I have dug deep in the manuals for a picture of this setup but cannot determine where it goes. Any Ideas,. The other question is a bit shorter. Where is the computer in this truck? can I buy an inexpensive tester to retrieve the codes?

Thanks for reading this..

Fatz

LAST EDITED ON 21-May-01 AT 04:42 PM (EST)[p]I found my answer. Seems that in some 86 F150's Ford installed a dual Cat that was really just one larger device and this connected to the emissions system via the hard tube that crosses over the manifold. I also got a pic of the location of the computer...

But shouldnt the air pump put out some air? mine seems to poof every turn or two ;p
