Swapping C6 for manual
Went to the store yesterday, the ATF cooler bracket broke and unbeknownst to me I drug it about 2 miles down the road. It ran outta fluid and instead of stopping I figured "well, I can make it back" I put in a couple quarts of juice and took off, it died going up a hill. I'm no dummy (usually) but when I got out of the truck all I could smell was cooked C6, and I knew it was bad, I knew I shoulda parked it. I could have bypassed the cooler with the now gaping hole with my leatherman. Oh well, live and learn. My question is this: How hard is it to put a manual trans in the truck? What is the model tranny? Any ideas?
