First Problems With 2004 Sd
Just had my first problems with my 2004 F250 4X4 5.4 Automatic, currently 7000 miles.
Overdrive off light on gearshift lever quit illuminating when I turned off O/D about a month ago,wasn't a big deal. Yesterday I started hearing a squealing noise, almost like belt was slipping. I gave belt a shot of belt dressing, noise went away then came back and got worse. Figured it was tensioner. Dropped truck off this morning and dealer called me. They replaced the entire shift lever, and had to replace the belt and belt tensioner. Now I am off to dealer to pick up the 04, and drop off the 05 F350 for the transmission recall. Kind of a pain, but at least they are both under warranty, and never again will I own anything other than a Superduty!!
