I own a 1980 F-150 Stepside, you know, the one with the fiberglass bolt on rear fenders. I was cruising down the freeway as happy as can be, and one of rear tires shed it's tread, ripping the whole damn fender off! Now it seems **NO ONE** has a replacement fender in stock. Ford no longer stocks it. The yards in my area don't have any either. I've tried copartfinder.com and still no dice.
Specifically it's the passenger side rear fender. It's a completely bolt-on, fiberglass, flared piece. Does anyone know of any manufacturers of these pieces? The only thing I can think of doing is getting it molded from the other fender and specially manufactured somewhere.
Any help would be greatly appreciated! The truck still runs perfectly, but it looks damn hideous with that piece ripped off.
Perhaps you can buy two fenders of a different style and trash the other plastic fender. I always thought the 1977 F100's flareside fenders were nicer, being rounded rather than angular.
Check out Bruce Horkey in Windom, MN. Phone # 507-831-5625. Last I knew they were selling replacement Fenders for the 1980 to 1987 Ford Flaresides. Goodluck

You're right, those fenders are very nice. However, I called LMC truck to see how much they ran, and they quoted me a about $280.00 a fender, and I would need to replace both. Throw in an extra $80.00 for freight, and you're looking at a some pretty expensive body repairs, not to mention painting the suckers.
If you know of any less expensive places that sell those fenders, pass it down.
