My wife broke both swaybar links on her Aero. I saw the damage yesterday at her work, but had no tools. Here's the problem, she's on travel and the van is on base. I have no access to it till she gets back. I need to order the parts. Can someone measure the end links for me. Its on a 4.0 liter rear wheel drive extended 94 (92 thru 97 is okay) Aerostar. Go to this page <http://www.energysuspension.com/pages/endl.html> Its measurment "A" at the bottom of the page, that I need, not the total length.
The generic version links you purchase at the parts stores are all "one-size-fits-all" variety. You don't need a specific measurement, just buy 'em and install 'em. Getting the old ones off is the hard part. A couple pairs of Vise-grip pliers and a large adjustable wrench will be handy.
I just bought a set of polyurethane sway bar bushings for my '90 3.0. They cost $19.99 for the set. Didnt bother looking up the ones for the van, i was looking in the suspension section and happened to see some. They sell two different lengths, one long and one short. You want the short one. Between the sway bar bushing replacement and my 16 inch wheels with low profile tires it handles like a sports car.
The links that snapped are generic, and I don't think they should have snapped. They were replaced last fall. So I won't be putting them back on the van. Ford doesn't carry the OEM ones. Can anyone tell me the measurement?
Now for some NOS, Ceramic coated pistons and Ported heads. The Rice burners will never know what hit them.
Im thinking more like a 3 inch drop, engine rebuild with forged pistons and hot cam, twin garret T3's, and a 75hp shot of N20. Either that or im goin to a 302 with blower on top. Dont know if I want that much fabrication though. It will already take most cars off the line and on the highway, so Im not doing too bad with the 3.0 it has.

I just measrued one next door, 4" on his. NAPA carries all the parts.
