I was just on another forum (I know, I know) and noticed that there is someone on there who just finished installing power folding side mirrors on his truck. The directions that he posted for taking on this project were amazing. I was wondering if any of you have come across this and/or installed the power folding mirrors on their own.
No takers???? I think this is a really good project and not very expensive. Nobody has an opinion on this???
Sounds like a worthwhile project - not too hard and not too expensive. I, for one, would like not having to lower the windows to pull the mirrors in. BTW, the person who wrote-up those instructions did a great job.
Im going to try it. Sounds pretty easy, thanks to the guy that built these instructions. I have been wondering how hard this would be. I would also like to add a power lock to the tailgate. Maybe I will tackle that next.
I may actually try to just build my own F150 out of duct tape, chrome door moulding, and a few wheel barrows. Seriously, this is like electrical engineer territory. I kind of like the power window and manual hand folding option.
One thing I found out the hard way on my last truck(F250 4X4).That is that the more the mirrors are folded in the more likely they are to vibrate.Good Luck!
