Howdy From Big D
Bought my first Ford SuperDuty on 3-11-05. Had an '01 Dodge Cummins before that and thought I'd be a Dodge man forever. But I made the mistake of swinging by my local Ford house late one night thinking all I was going to do was see how badly I COULDN'T afford a new big truck. That was Wednesday, 3/9/05 around 10 pm. 48 hours later my stupidity (at buying things I don't truly need but really, really want) was proven with a new F250 sitting in the driveway.
This ain't my first [Ford] rodeo, but it's been a while. [Bless me Father, for I have sinned. It's been nearly 10 years since I last owned a Ford truck.]
The Truck as built by Ford:
'05 F250 XLT Supercab Longbed
4x4 shift on the fly (weird not having a t-case shifter on the floor)
6.0 Turbo Diesel, Automatic
Power windows/locks/mirrors, tilt, cruise
Camper package
Offroad package (skid plates?)
12.5K receiver hitch
Bling bling 17" Ford aluminum rims
OWL tires (I better the white letters don't last me long)
Buttons on the door for when I stupidly lock the keys inside
Modifications so far:
Transferred all my stuff from the Dodge quad cab (wow...lotsa crap)
Huge monthly payment attached to vehicle as soon as I left the lot with it
