I have a '91 f-150 and I saw a couple of you talking anout how you disconnected your buzzers. I want to disconnect mine, I find it so damn annoying. Especially when you re trying to work from the under the dash and you gotta keep the door open. Well if any of you can help me please respond or e-mail me @ chris112lee(No Email Addresses In Posts!) On my 93 I have it modified so it still chimes when you leave the headlights on, but that's it.
First I unhooked the wire under the seat that goes to the seatbelt. ( I use the seatbelt, I just buckle up after I start the truck so the chime is annoying)
Next, unhook the switch in the ignition switch. It's pretty easy. First slide the ignition out by turning it to "RUN", press the little release button in the bottom of the column and yank it out. There will be one wire hooked to it. If you look you can slide this wire and the small switch it is connected to out of the tumbler assembly. Then just tape it up, (or cut it off) and stick it back in the column out of the way and put everything back together. I know your 91 has a different column than my 93 but it should work out for you. I like this the best because the chime reminds you to kill the lights and you don't get used to it and ignore it.
If you want to disable it all, My module is straight above the 4wd shifter under the dash.
