3G alternator conversion!!!!!!!
I have a 72 4x4 and i converted a 3g one wire alternator out of a 89 for taurus wich is a 130 amper. with a 90amp inline resetable fuse, along with all 4 guage wires for grounds and battery wires. My problem is my battery keeps going dead after a couple of days and i was wondering if anyone knew if the alternator is draining the battery because the lead is always hot from the alternator to the batter connection. Any suggestions would greatly be apperiated Thank.

Read the post on this forum going on right now from outlaw08 https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/s...d.php?t=355181 and read down to Franklin2's posting on testing for drains. Yes it could be the battery. That was outlaw08's problem.
