ASE...try a search here in the 6.0 forum for "DSB" and or buy back...you should be able to get a whole lot more info than you could ever manage to use.
One thing we have discovered is that Ford policy and / or criteria seems to vary from region to region. This is important 'cause other than document everything, getting as many Ford related people on your side is the next biggest bullet you can have.
With that said, I am not sure that the moderators will allow anyone to directly respond to your request or not as I am somewhat confused as what crosses the site guidelines these days and what does not.
In your warranty guide and owners manuals, there are sections on what to do if you aren't happy with something. Follow those guidelines and document everything. Remember to keep calm but firm.
As stated, have Everything documented,
service, rentals, phone calls, discussions....
Start with your service advisor and ask for his "assistance"
that it wasn't his fault, but..... blah blah blah
then ask to speak to the svc mgr, then gm of the dealership and try to work it in house...
then if that doesn't work for you, ask to speak to the Ford Regional rep...
This may seem like a lot... but it was actually a LOT quicker than the DSB process... my new X was in the drive before I got the acknowledgement letter from the DSB group
My Svc writer and GM actually did most of the legwork for me and we remain friendly....
Your attitude will go a long way in how they help you...
good luck and let me know if I can help...
it worked out VERY well for me with my 02 7.3l X....

Here here, work with the dealer as long as possible. My old truck had 3 trans. replaced under original warranty and DSB said I was "out of their jurisdiction". I had been working with a local dealer (not where I bought the truck) and they bought the truck back and paid it off completely, I bought my new one straight out. I was 3000 upside down and they absorbed that and gave me all of the incentives, lower interest than the "special rate" from Ford and took 5000 more off of the price of the new truck to keep the payments in a realistic range. Lesson learned, the owner of the dealership can pay for anything they want and usually go back to FMC and work a deal with them if they have to. Good luck and just try to stay patient even when some people don't want to help.
