How much Power??

I have an 86 302. I am converting to carbed. I have a Holley aluminum dual plain intake and 600cfm holley 4bbl. 9.5:1 flat topped pistons. .490 lift 204 intake 217 exhaust duration cam. 3 angle valve job. Does anyone know how much power and torque I sould expect from this engine? Does anyone have any suggestions what else i could cheaply do. I am running out of cash. Thanks DJ

What do you have for heads? I'd go with some headers and open up the exhaust. For more power trade your 600 for something around 450-500 cfm. That's a bit too much carb for what you have listed.

Don't do much porting and polishing to the intake valves or you will kill your low end torque. You can clean up the parting lines, tear drop the valve bosses, round the chamber, and port match back 1/2 inch on the intake but much more and you start slowing the air velocity down and kill your low end torque. Spent most of your time on the exhaust. Thats where the 302 heads are most restrictive.
