Hello, my name is Chris from Maryland. I have been pulling a 32 foot Coachman camper with my Chevrolet Silverado extended cab Duramax for over a year now. But with three kids, two dogs, and some relatives on occasion, my needs increased. I still have my Duramax - hopefully always will. But the stinking import Toyota 04 Sienna minivan HAD TO GO!!
I left the little putt-mobile at my local Ford dealer wimpering as it sucked the diesel fumes from my 2005 Ford Excursion 4X4 Limited with the 6.0 Powerstroke diesel. I thought, as I was looking my my rearview mirror, that i saw some washer fluid dripping down from the windshield. Of course, the Weeenna knew its time had come.
The neighbors down the street purchased a used Excursion with the 7.3 Diesel. During a neighborhood cookout, they informed me of the vehicles capability and the fact that a true SUV DID come in a diesel. Two months later I almost purchased the V-10 2004, but held out my savings. Now the Beast is in my driveway.
Congrats on the purchase and welcome to the boards. I'm sure a mod will be by with the guidelines, but look around and you will find everything you need to know about Fords and your excursion.
WELCOME
I used to own a 2003 Excursion V-10, I had 36,000 miles on it and it was loaded. I got ride of it, had steering problems (wondered at hiway speeds) I tried eveyrthing and I couldn't seem to get rid of the problem. Best thing I ever did to it was put on new Edelbrock shocks...made a huge improvement in ride and handling. Real worth doing!!!!
